Version 2026-10-draft-1
Accounting Write-back Authorisation
What happens when you allow verification results to be written back to your accounting software.
1. Read-only by default
Accounting connections are read-only unless an administrator separately authorises write-back. Write-back requires additional permissions in your accounting software, which you approve on the provider's own screen.
2. What may be written
Depending on what your accounting provider supports, write-back may add:
- A verification status note or custom field on a supplier (contact) record.
- The supplier verification summary as an attachment to the supplier, where supported.
3. What is never changed
Write-back never modifies invoice amounts, VAT amounts, tax codes, ledger entries, payment or bank details, supplier identities, or previously reconciled transactions. Identity documents and confidential source records are not transmitted.
4. Your control
Every write-back batch is shown for preview and requires approval. Items with an uncertain supplier match, or that the provider does not support, are skipped and reported — never simulated. You can revoke write-back at any time; a failed synchronisation does not affect a completed verification project.
